This axe handle is 15.5″ long and includes a Walnut wedge. The eye measures 3/16″ x 1 7/8″ (+/- 1/16″). Steep shoulder allows the user to choke up on the head for finer cutting. Generous palm swell for secure grip while chopping. These axe handles are made of both heartwood and sapwood (studies have shown no difference in performance between the two) and as such some will be lighter, darker, or a combination of the two.
