He’s a survivalist, teacher, the co-owner of Self-Reliance Outfitters and the Pathfinder School. If there’s a chance you’ll get lost in the woods, you’ll be calmer if you’ve taken a class or two from him. One thing he teaches is that every tool in your pack should serve more than one purpose, and if it doesn’t—get rid of it and find one that does. As part of the design team at PKS, the Pathfinders Knife Shop, he delivers. PKS makes belt knives that are great for tackling a variety of tasks such as carving, skinning, batoning wood, processing game, and other camp chores. If you’re looking for a quality fixed knife, a PKS design is a solid choice.
